Doing simple things exceptionally well’ was our starting point for this flag-ship store in the uber-cool new Coal Drops Yard development in Kings Cross, London
Form & Thread are a UK based clothing brand, that creates menswear modern essentials which are mindfully sourced.
The brand, famous for it’s high quality, functional pieces has a mimimalist approach by ‘doing simple things exceptionally well. Being part of our own manifesto and design approach it struck a cord with us – something we could 100% relate to.
The main challenge was to find a design solution for the 60 sqm space, that would make it appear larger, and brighter without compromising on stock quantities and changing groom space.
This being the flagship store a stock room/area that would contain all sizes for all garments as well as two changing rooms, a cleaning cupboard and tea point for staff and customers were an absolute must in the deliverables.
Our solution was to design and install a mirrored monolith that would apart from defining a material palette that would complement and showcase the products in the best way possible
